The energy performances of active solar systems, solar thermal or photovoltaic, are strongly influenced by the orientation and slope used in the installation of solar panels. Actually there is the tendency to favour the solar plants which present a strong integration with the building from an architectural point of view. Nevertheless this design approach can involve heavy penalizations in the annual performances of the installed solar plants. In this memory the problem of this penalization is analysed in detail by means of simulation models and an estimation on the basis of the consequent calculation procedures is presented. The results show that orientation and slope deeply influence not only the amount of solar radiation available on the surface of the solar collector but also the mechanisms of energy absorption.
