To overcome the previous dualistic conceptions that consider urban and rural areas in dichotomous terms, by establishing hierarchies between urban society and the rural, should be overcome rhetoric of anti-urbanism and urbanization, and identify a form of reciprocal functional another country not in opposition to another city. The purpose of this essay is to understand the evolution recent urban-rural relationship in dialectical rather than dichotomous terms.
