Archaeological fragments cannot be any longer isolated or forgotten pieces of the urban landscape. Ancient shreds have to discover a new life in the contemporary city, in a dialogue between past and present which shouldn’t fear any comparison. It’s the case of the extraordinary neapolitan site of “Carminiello ai Mannesi”, nowadays abandoned and trapped by a blind wall. The aim of the project is to give the ruins back to the city and its inhabitants, designing a new high- quality public space.

Abstract
Archaeological fragments cannot be any longer isolated or forgotten pieces of the urban landscape. Ancient shreds have to discover a new life in the contemporary city, in a dialogue between past and present which shouldn’t fear any comparison. It’s the case of the extraordinary neapolitan site of “Carminiello ai Mannesi”, nowadays abandoned and trapped by a blind wall. The aim of the project is to give the ruins back to the city and its inhabitants, designing a new high- quality public space.File in questo prodotto:
