The paper investigates the themes of space, health, and leisure emerging from relevant examples of the Italian Rationalism, represented by the seaside holiday camps built in the first half of the 20th century. Starting from the analysis of three case-studies (camps Amos Maramotti in Riccione, 1934; Principi di Piemonte in Lido di Venezia, 1936; and Montecatini in Milano Marittima, 1939) the research stresses critical issues aimed to outline adaptive-reuse strategies for the preservation of abandoned modern heritage.

Abstract
The paper investigates the themes of space, health, and leisure emerging from relevant examples of the Italian Rationalism, represented by the seaside holiday camps built in the first half of the 20th century. Starting from the analysis of three case-studies (camps Amos Maramotti in Riccione, 1934; Principi di Piemonte in Lido di Venezia, 1936; and Montecatini in Milano Marittima, 1939) the research stresses critical issues aimed to outline adaptive-reuse strategies for the preservation of abandoned modern heritage.File in questo prodotto:
