Sense of time and sense of place are interwoven throughout the twelve sections of the book, guiding the reader in the search for tools and actions to strengthen the relationship between heritage and its context, reconciling the demands expressed by inhabitants, visitors, administrators and operators in the sector. Focusing on architecture and landscape design, complementary visions emerge that can provide a picture which, although necessarily incomplete, will allow readers to approach the study of a global and complex phenomenon, exploring the four themes into which the book is divided.
