The obligation of physical distancing due to the Covid-19 pandemic has subjected a large number of social, cultural, working, and educational practices to digital remediation. The curators' introductory text outlines the framework of the project, which aims to bring media studies into dialogue with other disciplines. The various contributors critically and analytically examine the very notion of spatial and temporal distance and its relationship to media and artistic practices.
