The triangle identified with the name of Serraglio mantovano, bordered to the north by the Mincio River, to the south by the Po River and to the west by the fortified line arranged along the Buscoldo valleys, has as its vertices the villages of Grazie di Curtatone, Borgoforte and Governolo. It formed a fertile granary, within the enclosure of a large castle conceived on a territorial scale. The Serraglio mantovano is today a hardly recognizable territory, victim of a process of fragmentation that affects the productive, settlement and cultural structure. History and architectural design have the task of interpreting and making the structure of places readable again. The project envisions a Cultural route of the Serraglio, based on the relationship between territory, landscape, permanences and memory.
