Engramma 205 brings together a miscellany of contributions that traverse the theatre in its various alterations, continuing a line of research and interest that finds ample representation in the Scientific committee and Editorial board of the journal. In the title, ‘Scenes’ ‘Texts’ ‘Archives’ were the key words most capable of catalysing the themes proposed in the papers here collected, revealing a variety of styles, worldviews and historical periods. In Didascalie e apparizioni Shaw, Pirandello, Mann Piermario Vescovo explores the exponential growth of the use of captions in European drama between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, starting from IbsenPiermario Vescovo , in the relationship between George Bernard Shaw and Luigi Pirandello. The essay of Michele Di Bello La tragedia del Cinquecento come “specchio de’ Principi” la virtù, il principe e il tiranno nella Canace di Giovanni Falugi deals with a tragedy written in the first half of the 16th century, the little-known Canace by Giovanni Falugi (1529 ca.), dedicated to Ippolito de’ Medici on the occasion of his election as cardinal. The article L’immaginario del gesto isterico nella Francia di fine Ottocento: tra mimo e malattia by Silvia De Min concerns the exhibiting of the body affected by hysteria, starting from Paul Margueritte’s pantomime Pierrot assassin de sa femme (1882). With Persona, “Per la prima volta e ultima volta”. Il Capodanno del 1994 al Cocoricò con la Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio Filippo Perfetti enters the eccentric atmospheres of Cocoricò, the historic discotheque on the Romagna Riviera, to discover Persona a performance by Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio presented on the occasion of New Year’s Eve 1994.
