Gianugo Polesello’s “Venetian Projects” for the eastern part of the metropolitan lagoon city of Venice are rooted in a well-defined historical condition which relates to a still current “demand for modernization”. However, recognizing to the history of the city precise operational and theoretical values, these projects measure the contents of a possible “Theory of Venice” based on a constitutive “non-conciliatory dialectic” between need for transformation and historical continuity.

Abstract
Gianugo Polesello’s “Venetian Projects” for the eastern part of the metropolitan lagoon city of Venice are rooted in a well-defined historical condition which relates to a still current “demand for modernization”. However, recognizing to the history of the city precise operational and theoretical values, these projects measure the contents of a possible “Theory of Venice” based on a constitutive “non-conciliatory dialectic” between need for transformation and historical continuity.File in questo prodotto:
