Abstract

This paper explores the concept of the contemporary art exhibition through a thought experiment set in a museum. Drawing on philosophical aesthetics and cultural criticism, I examine the evolving function of museums and the crisis of museality in the face of post-historical art. This essay juxtaposes modernist and postmodernist perspectives on the relationship between art and history and the display of art in museums. The objective of this examination is to propose a reevaluation of the role and significance of museums in exhibiting art in the context of everyday life.
