The relationship between the study of ruins and contemporary planning is certainly one of the most investigated subjects in Francesco Venezia’s work. This topic can indeed be considered as one of the fundamental features of his thought. Not many people outside academia know that his thoughts about ruins have become the main subject of his workshops on planning. My aim in this paper is to shift the focus of attention from the role this topic plays in the planning work of Francesco Venezia to the one it plays in his activity as a docent. In what follows, I will try to single out the fundamental ideas around which his teaching revolves and to draw attention on the close connections between his teaching and planning activity. The work intends to show that the analysis of his method, objectives and teaching can substantially contribute to the understanding his profile as an architect.

Abstract
The work intends to show that the analysis of his method, objectives and teaching can substantially contribute to the understanding his profile as an architect.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
