The paper deals with educational experiences of architectural design in the complex stratification of artefacts in the production landscapes. Reading the morphological features of places is connected with their cultural identity and the history of changes caused by productive processes. Design learning entails: the kind of relationships that the landscape project involves through the regeneration of sites, including their cultural heritage, in new living and working spaces; the sustainability of new production processes and uses enhancing and respecting their identities; and the architecture that can properly interpret the processes of landscape construction giving new roles to fringe and waste spaces.

Abstract
The paper deals with educational experiences of architectural design in the complex stratification of artefacts in the production landscapes. Reading the morphological features of places is connected with their cultural identity and the history of changes caused by productive processes. Design learning entails: the kind of relationships that the landscape project involves through the regeneration of sites, including their cultural heritage, in new living and working spaces; the sustainability of new production processes and uses enhancing and respecting their identities; and the architecture that can properly interpret the processes of landscape construction giving new roles to fringe and waste spaces.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
