Schola Armatorum in Pompei collapsed in 2010. The building was excavated and restored by Vittorio Spinazzola in 1915. Damaged in 2nd World War and then reconstructed by Amedeo Maiuri. Each time becomes a different building with new materials and new shape. Trough the history of excavation and restoration of this building, we may reflect on the identity of the archaeological ruins, what they are and what they represent, and what we lose when/if they disappear.
