The control of temperature, humidity and air quality is required for the conservation of historical and artistic works. In fact air moisture changes and specific action of pollutants are responsible for the main part of degradation. On the other hand also electromagnetic radiation must be controlled as it can damage surfaces. In this paper specific device for control microclimate inside museums is considered: the glass cases. Measurements data performed by authors are presented. In particular a prototype, characterized by a buffer material to adsorb and deadsorb humidity from the air, has been monitored under different conditions in order to evaluate its capacity in maintaining air hurnidity fixed values. As far as air quality is concerned, a good conservation policy has to control or at least monitor also the degree of pollution. For this purpose an easy to apply and not expensive tool is constituted by some test material bands exposed to the monitored environment. The degree of the test corrosion can be correlated to the air quality. The results of a test in a glass case application are presented.

Abstract
The results of a test in a glass case application are presented.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
