The essay intends to recall 1968 in its prophetic destination: it is an experiment in reactivating an archaeology of knowledge that delves into the past, and at the same time it is an alert for the aesthetics of the present. The coordinates of the choral essay are expressed in the titles of the chapters of the contribution: 1. “It seemed the first time”; 2. Critical paideia: process to authority; 3. Courage vs security: the body exposed in the vita activa; 4. Desire and bodies in motion: the party of politics. The authors chose to discuss on such issues with the guide of those thinkers who denounced the emergence of that event: Gilles Deleuze, Michel de Certeau, Edgar Morin, Hannah Arendt, Michel Foucault, Herbert Marcuse, Cornelius Castoriadis, Claude Lefort.
