According to Goal 12 of UN Agenda 2030, “Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns”, one of the targets is to “substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse” by 2030. This is particularly true in the construction sector, which is responsible for 40% of global energy consumptions and 35% of greenhouse gases emissions. The paper is part of the design strategies for the reassembly and reuse of architectural artifacts with a view to the transition to the Circular Economy. Specifically, the paper deals with the issue of dry-built architectural envelopes and their executive design according to a Life Cycle Thinking (LCT) approach, based on a case study of a temporary wooden housing unit for which different usage scenarios are envisaged, and end of life at the end of the first cycle of use of the casing components. The paper, in particular, based on the collection of the environmental profiles of the products through the Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), aims to define a balance between the environmental impacts incorporated in the materials used and the benefits associated with the adoption of dry construction techniques.

Abstract
The paper, in particular, based on the collection of the environmental profiles of the products through the Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), aims to define a balance between the environmental impacts incorporated in the materials used and the benefits associated with the adoption of dry construction techniques.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
