The article retraces the three building phases for Lenin's Mausoleum (1924-1930), from the first wooden structure to the second more monumental mausoleum, and finally the current one made in stone. Some extracts of texts from that period are presented in Italian translation, explaining the building processes of the mausoleums. The author examines formal references of the architecture and the impact on other contemporary architects.
