Building Energy Simulation (BES) is the basis for the prediction of energy demand not only for the new buildings design but also for the support of energy retrofit design. However, the different accuracy of implemented models, such as those related to the processing of solar irradiance can lead to uncertainties in determining optimal retrofit solutions. In this work, we analysed the impact of the solar irradiance models in BES in the context of multiobjective optimization to guide the refurbishment process, considering economic, energy and thermal comfort goals.

Abstract
Building Energy Simulation (BES) is the basis for the prediction of energy demand not only for the new buildings design but also for the support of energy retrofit design. However, the different accuracy of implemented models, such as those related to the processing of solar irradiance can lead to uncertainties in determining optimal retrofit solutions. In this work, we analysed the impact of the solar irradiance models in BES in the context of multiobjective optimization to guide the refurbishment process, considering economic, energy and thermal comfort goals.File in questo prodotto:
