Hegel, Hölderlin, Schelling : la Rivoluzione e l’idea di Europa nella genesi dell’idealismo tedesco

Hegel, Hölderlin, Schelling. The Revolution and the idea of Europe at the Beginning of German Idealism · In this paper, I intend to reconstruct the idea of Europe in the birth of German idealism, following the intellectual path of Hölderlin, Hegel and Schelling. To do so, I will focus on how the three young idealists reacted to the most relevant historical phenomenon that emerged at the end of the 18th century, namely the French Revolution. The thesis of this paper is that the theoretical development of the three authors, in this specific phase of their thought, results as an aesthetic and elitist conception of the revolution and that this is an outcome generated by a rejection, shared by the three, of the most radical phases of the French Revolution, especially the phase of the Terror.
