The Guerra-Gregorj kiln, part of the Italian heritage, it’s an example of industrial archeology that allowed social, technical and technological advancement. Despite this, it is currently left in a state of neglect and is unknown to the community, as for many other buildings of industrial archeology cases. The complex has always been distinguished and characterized by the social and artistic importance that it has had for the territory over the years, enough to be protected by the “Soprintendenza per i Beni Ambientali ed Architettonici”, which defines the kiln not only as an architectural asset but also as a “precious demonstration of an old vanishing world that deserves to be preserved and protected”. Following its entrepreneurial history, which contributed to the transformation of brick’s manufacture into a real artistic atelier, we want to focus on the protection and conservation of fragments that belong to the Italian territorial history. Since they led to social changes, these fragments have to be re-introduced in order to preserve and enhance their cultural, social and ethical role in contemporary society.
