Isole di memoria: i luoghi del confinamento a Venezia. Una lettura strategica per la conservazione dei frammenti urbani = Islands of memory: confinement places in Venice. A conservation proposal for Venice’s urban fragments.

The paper proposes an analysis of the development of psychiatric hospitals in the Venetian lagoon area. Starting from the historical-critical investigation conducted on the case studies of abandon- ment and reuse in the Venetian context, the contribution intends to identify possible methodolog- ical approaches for the urban fragments of the lagoon system, enhancing the immaterial memory of these places, still present today as isolated and autonomous contests.
