The article Latin American Wastelands: The case of 27/F Parking Lots in the Central Valley of Chile, is presented as a historical, urban and spatial review of a particular practice of rewriting the city present in the specific territory of the Chilean Central Valley which –after the 2010 earthquake, based on a series of legal interpretations and market opportunities– begun to regenerate and put back into function a series of wastelands that due to the natural disaster concluded a life cycle within the historic centers of the main cities in the area.

Abstract
