The paper addresses the design of communicative ecosystems for the mediation of knowledge and enhancement of cultural heritage, brought about by the superimposition of a digital information layer on top of the physical spatial one. Through the presentation of an application case study, the method and process functional to the development of the project concept are illustrated. In particular, the need for interdisciplinary collaboration is emphasized as it is capable of capturing all the semantic nuances necessary to properly communicate the complexity of heritage, and in which the designer becomes responsible not only for visual representation but a collaborator in the interpretation and mediation of cultural content.

Abstract
The paper addresses the design of communicative ecosystems for the mediation of knowledge and enhancement of cultural heritage, brought about by the superimposition of a digital information layer on top of the physical spatial one. Through the presentation of an application case study, the method and process functional to the development of the project concept are illustrated. In particular, the need for interdisciplinary collaboration is emphasized as it is capable of capturing all the semantic nuances necessary to properly communicate the complexity of heritage, and in which the designer becomes responsible not only for visual representation but a collaborator in the interpretation and mediation of cultural content.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
