IR thermography is used to monitor in time the progress of moisture in a typical porous material, the clay bricks, that are used in new buildings, and in restoration of ancient buildings as a replacement of old/damaged ones. The porous materials in contact with water absorbs it progressively, depending on its porosity and the environmental conditions. Two experiments are monitored by IR thermography collecting IR images in time of a brick that is moistened with a humid sponge, in one case, and, in the second case, with the base immersed in water. Abstract
Results are discussed.File in questo prodotto:
