The space between choreography and publishing lies at the core of the essay, which reflects on the shift in hermeneutic and methodological orientation prompted by the materiality of editorial projects. Publications are examined as a privileged vantage point from which to reconsider the concept of choreography as it has been redefined over the past twenty years by the artists under study: from protocols aimed at producing a dance composition to strategies detached from bodily expression; from writing or composing movement to forms of knowledge mediated through action. Moving beyond a discursive framework that approaches the two practices through polarities—ephemeral versus durable, body versus book, live performance versus archive—publications emerge as alternative, horizontal forms of existence. Through expressive modes other than the body, they channel, disseminate, and extend artistic poetics, compelling us to recognize contemporary choreographic paradigms as a continuous chain of successive transmedial transformations that exceed both media and sites.

Abstract
Through expressive modes other than the body, they channel, disseminate, and extend artistic poetics, compelling us to recognize contemporary choreographic paradigms as a continuous chain of successive transmedial transformations that exceed both media and sites.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
