The research contributes to highlighting how the territorial context might hinder or favor innovation in the traditional-artistic business of craftsmanship. The underlying hy-pothesis is that, if the elements of innovation, sociality and culture-craftmanship are so-cially built within a given territory, the success/failure reasons should also be sought in the territorial social processes that both generate and interconnect them.

Abstract
The research contributes to highlighting how the territorial context might hinder or favor innovation in the traditional-artistic business of craftsmanship.
