In a previous paper authors presented a numerical parametric model able to give global solar radiation on horizontal surfaces at ground level starting from sky cloudiness; it permits to describe specific conditions in which solar radiation can be very different from mean values on a long period, usually found in literature, and to evaluate on a better way hence radiant field inside a room both in visible and other spectral bands. Previously model results were compared with results of other simplified models presented in literature. In this paper is presented the validation of the model using TRY data for some Italian cities. Some improvements, here described, were brought to have better results with high turbidity and cloudiness. Agreement between TRY data and results calculated by this model appears satisfactory.

Abstract
In a previous paper authors presented a numerical parametric model able to give global solar radiation on horizontal surfaces at ground level starting from sky cloudiness; it permits to describe specific conditions in which solar radiation can be very different from mean values on a long period, usually found in literature, and to evaluate on a better way hence radiant field inside a room both in visible and other spectral bands. Previously model results were compared with results of other simplified models presented in literature. In this paper is presented the validation of the model using TRY data for some Italian cities. Some improvements, here described, were brought to have better results with high turbidity and cloudiness. Agreement between TRY data and results calculated by this model appears satisfactory.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
