This paper presents a non-linear analytical model for analyzing composite beams under transverse bending load. The model reproduces the elements responsible for the relative slip between the layers with an elasto-plastic strain-softening interlayer. Further than the slip, the model predicts load induced stress and ultimate load for debonding of the composite beam. The paper presents as well the application of the model to steel-concrete beams, together with the main results and interpretation.
