The Directive 2002/91/CE about Energy Performance of Building requests the evaluation of the amount of energy to meet the different needs associated with a standardized use of building, such as heating, air conditioning, hot water heating, ventilation and lighting. In this context an interesting subject for analysis and improvement are commercial buildings. In fact they are usually characterised by a large amount of glazed area that can lead to high heating and cooling loads. Nowadays architects and engineers have the possibility to use glazing with high energy performances with low-e, solar control and selective glasses but they seldom use them because a lack of technical information and a not clear economic feeling. Moreover building’s envelope shall be optimized as orientation, glazing surface extension in order to reduce the energy requirements. In this paper the IEA Task 27 building has been proposed a case study and by means of computer code, annual energy request is calculated. Different conditions have been analysed varying the shape, location (different cities of Italy have been proposed) and the type and the extension of glazed area.

Abstract
Different conditions have been analysed varying the shape, location (different cities of Italy have been proposed) and the type and the extension of glazed area.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
