Abstract
The Ministerial Decree of September 25th, 2024, officially approved the Maritime Spatial Planning (PSM) for the Adriatic, Ionian, and Tyrrhenian Seas. These plans represent a significant step toward efficient marine resource management, fostering sustainable economic development while protecting marine ecosystems. Iuav University of Venice, in collaboration with CNR-Ismar and Corila, was appointed as the scientific hub supporting the Ministry’s Technical Committee, responsible for implementing the plans. Marine spatial planning differs from land-based planning due to its multi-dimensional nature and legal uncertainties. Interdisciplinary approaches, including the integration of cultural heritage, are essential, with Maritime Museums playing a key role in conservation and promoting local heritage. They are therefore interviewed – with three identical questions on maritime heritage, maritime museums, and collaboration with PSM – in their primary role, three of the curators of the most important and active Maritime Museums of the Upper Adriatic.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
